As well as internal benefits specifically related to the nature of our business, Douglas Allen also provide several other benefits for our staff.

Salary Package

Our basic salaries and personal commission deals are industry leading and working in sales your earnings are uncapped, therefore how much you earn is entirely down to you.  At whatever level you join us we will guarantee your earnings for a period and then place you on an upfront commission deal, providing you with the time you need to get your commission pipeline established.

Holiday Commission

We remain one of the only estate agents who have introduced holiday commission payments for their sales staff. These are paid the month after you take leave and are designed to make up for sales opportunities lost while you are on holiday.

Company Cars

We operate one of the largest car fleets in the estate agency business. Our fleet of Volkswagens and Minis will ensure you portray a professional image to our customers and, in recognition of performance, our managers are given the opportunity to upgrade to more prestigious models such as BMW 320s.

Arun Rewards

We are constantly awarding our staff ‘Arun Reward Points’ in recognition of their efforts. They are then stored in the Bank of Arun and, at a time to suit, can be exchanged for vouchers which can be spent on holidays, shopping trips or house renovation/decoration, to name a few. We despatched over £160,000 of vouchers to our staff during 2016, and we even paid their tax for them.

Office Opening Hours

All of our offices are closed at 6pm Monday to Friday and 5pm on Saturday.  In addition they are also closed on bank holidays.

However as we work in a customer focused industry in order to meet the needs of our customers we provide 8am to 8pm telephone support to our customers through our central sales hub 7 days per week.

Pension Scheme

Our joint employer and employee pension contribution scheme allows our staff to start planning for their financial future.

Annual Leave

With effect from our new holiday year in January 2018 we will provide  33 days paid annual leave, which includes bank holidays and two additional days over the Christmas period. We will also reward  with a further day of additional  leave per annum for 100% attendance across the holiday year. In addition, there are up to a further 3 days holiday in recognition of length of service, providing in total up to 37 days paid annual leave.

Private Medical

Staff at management level and above are invited to join the private medical scheme, where the premium for cover is paid for by the company. This provides vital medical support to both themselves and their families, when required, depending on their seniority.

Life Insurance

We provide twice the basic salary through our life insurance scheme, which is free to our staff and is available company-wide. This gives our staff the assurance that their loved ones will have financial support in a time of crisis.

Child Care Vouchers

With the government-led Childcare Voucher Scheme, eligible staff are able to exchange a proportion of their monthly gross salary for childcare vouchers, allowing them to take full advantage of the monthly tax savings involved.

Promotional Incentives

Throughout the year we reward our outstanding individuals with a range of additional promotions and awards, ranging from trips abroad, to fine dining at the Oxo Tower. In addition, every year, all our staff are invited to attend our Annual Awards & Dinner Dance at the company’s expense, during which we recognise our high-achievers and celebrate our successes across the year. Last year, over 700 staff chose to attend!
