Douglas Allen, formerly Douglas Allen Spiro is one of the most recognisable names in the residential estate agency business. From our roots in East London our branch networks of 17 offices extends to cover North London and South Essex as well. We are also a part of the Arun Estate Agencies Group, the largest independent estate agency in the South East of England.
Our history can be traced back through many generations during which time the property market has seen many changes but we are proud to say that in all this time our company has never deviated from the belief of our founders which was to be, in every respect, 'The Property Professionals'.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our people and believe them to be the most professional and committed in the business and they are complimented by a highly experienced and motivated management team and a superb training department.
We have pioneered a comprehensive service offering our clients access to all services under one roof from buying and selling property, international investments, conveyancing services, surveying, mortgages and mortgage related products and services which can be sourced by our sister company Mortgage Matters Direct.

- Every new employee undertakes a seven day initial induction course, regardless of their experience which includes practice with the general public, not just in the training room. The course is designed to ensure that every new member of the team is trained to the highest level and will be able to provide the excellent level of customer service we expect. We currently hold the 2010 Sunday Times Estate Agency of the Year Gold Award for Training and Development together with a range of other awards.
- Further support is given at branch level by a team of field trainers to assist in personal development and to provide all the help you will need to progress your career from trainee right through to management roles.
- All our staff have good local knowledge, such as details on the best schools and all transport links in their areas as we realise this allows you to make the best possible decision about the location you choose to live in.

Ahead of the Times!
In late 2006 we re-branded to bring our image in line with our dynamic approach to marketing properties. Out has gone the Douglas Allen Spiro brand and instead we have simplified this to Douglas Allen and received a fresh new look.
We hold dear our traditional values yet believe that our modern and dynamic approach really sets us out from the competition and wanted to convey this in our new look. So far, we have received very positive feedback which has helped us to appeal to a wider range of clients plus a new generation of first-time buyers.
